The Renewals screen
Your annual and multi-year commitments, soonest first, so you can trim unused seats before they lock in for another term.
The Renewals screen is your term-commitment calendar. Annual and multi-year subscriptions lock in their seat count for the whole term, so a commitment that renews with seats nobody uses locks that waste in for another year. This screen shows what renews when, and the last day to do something about it.

What you're looking at
- The headline counts how many commitments renew in the window ahead, and the approximate monthly cost of the unused seats if they renew as-is.
- Each row is a commitment, soonest first, with its term (annual or multi-year) and the seat math: committed, assigned, and how many are sitting unused.
- The renew posture tells you whether it will auto-renew or is set to lapse. When it auto-renews, the row shows the last day to cancel or trim with the vendor.
- The dollar figure is a lens, not drift. Unused seats are valued at cost and shown in muted text, because this is a buy-side conversation with your vendor, not money to bill a client.
Your options
- Trim before the cancel-by date. This is a heads-up calendar: the action happens in your vendor portal (reduce the seat count, or let it lapse) before the date shown. BillRecon doesn't change vendor commitments for you.
- Open a client to see which of their subscriptions drive the commitment.
A couple of honest limits
Cancel-by dates are approximate, so confirm the exact window with your vendor before the deadline. Monthly subscriptions don't appear here (there's nothing to lock in). And a commitment whose renewal date the vendor doesn't report is called out separately rather than guessed.
